Privacy Policy — Wise Options Builder

Last updated: August 14, 2026

Wise Options Builder ("the app") is a Shopify app that lets merchants add configurable options, quantity pricing, and artwork uploads to their products. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.

Information we collect from merchants

When you install the app, we store the information needed to operate it for your store:

Customer artwork uploads

When a customer uploads artwork through the configurator, the file itself is sent directly to Shopify's own Files service — it is never stored on our servers. We keep only a small record of the upload (which product it belongs to, the file name, type, size, and the resulting Shopify file link) so it can be associated with the order. We do not collect the uploading customer's name, email, or any other identifying information as part of this record.

How we use this information

Information is used solely to provide the app's functionality: rendering your configured options on the storefront, calculating accurate prices, processing artwork uploads, and letting you manage settings from the app's admin pages. We do not use merchant or customer data for advertising, and we do not sell data to third parties.

Data sharing

Data is shared only with the service providers required to run the app: Shopify (to store products, files, and process orders) and our hosting and database providers, who process data on our behalf under their own security obligations. We do not share data with any other third party.

Data retention and deletion

We retain shop data for as long as the app is installed. If you uninstall the app, Shopify notifies us and we remove your session data immediately. Shopify also sends a shop-redaction request approximately 48 hours after uninstall (or upon your own request), at which point we permanently delete every record associated with your shop — product configurations, storefront settings, and artwork upload records.

Your rights

Because the app does not store customer-identifying data, customer data-access and erasure requests (as required under GDPR and the CCPA) have nothing to disclose or delete on our end — any customer data involved in an order lives in Shopify's own systems, governed by your store's own privacy policy. Merchants can request deletion of their shop's data at any time by uninstalling the app or by contacting us directly.
